What do you need to do before and after the cosmetic acupuncture?
Before
Please be aware that women may be more sensitive to needle discomfort during their menstrual cycle.
Eat (but not overeat) about an hour before coming for an acupuncture treatment.
Wear comfortable clothes that allow access to areas above the elbows and knees; you may need to expose your abdomen or back, depending on your treatment plan. Avoid wearing yoga pants.
Wearing a V-neck T-shirt is recommended to freely expose your neck; no necklace or ear rings.
Clean the face thoroughly. A thin layer of moisturizer is allowed but no makeup or perfumes.
At the clinic
Turn your phones off or put on silent.
Empty the bladder before the treatment starts.
The more relax you are the better you will benefit from the treatment.
After
It is normal to feel tight, pressured or numbness/tickling afterwards. It will disappear in a day or two.
When bruising appears, apply ice pack within the first 24 hours. Apply warm wet towel after 24 hours.
Avoid rigorous exercise for the day of treatment; No greasy or cold food/drinks for a day.
Avoid exposure to damp/cold/windy weather; wear enough clothing, especially hat.
Normal skin care can be applied after 3 hours of treatment.
Wear sunscreen everyday; wear sunglasses if it’s sunny.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS SHOULD I HAVE?
To achieve the best result, 10 treatments are suggested (Once a week for the first 5 boost treatments, 6-8 treatments every other week, and 9-10 treatments once every three weeks). For long lasting results, the fine-tune treatments should be done once a month.

CAN COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE REPLACE SURGICAL FACE LIFT?
No, cosmetic acupuncture will not yield the same results as a face lift. However, face lift will destroy natural tissue structures and create un-natural facial look, whereas cosmetic acupuncture results are slower, more subtle and natural with much less complications. It is organic, holistic and natural. It increases your wellbeing and slows down your aging process.
